S 450e MANUFAKTUR AMG Line — priced at ₹2.38 crore (ex-showroom)

Additionally, bookings have already started at all Mercedes-Benz dealerships across India. However, deliveries will begin only in Q4 2026, timed around the Diwali festive season.

The Powertrain: Power Meets Efficiency

Under the bonnet, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class PHEV India packs serious hardware. The S 450e combines a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six petrol engine with a rear-mounted electric motor. they produce output of around 430–435 bhp and up to 680 Nm of torque. Moreover, the system uses a 22 kWh lithium-ion battery pack paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The car runs on a rear-wheel-drive layout, which suits the character of a chauffeur-driven flagship perfectly.

Notably, Mercedes claims a fuel efficiency figure of 32.3 kmpl.

Electric Range: Enough For Your Daily City Drive

One of the biggest talking points of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class PHEV India is its electric-only range. Mercedes claims up to 115 km of pure EV driving on a full charge. That figure comfortably covers most urban commutes in Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, or Bengaluru. In addition, the S 450e supports DC fast charging at up to 60 kW.

Fresh Looks: The Facelifted S-Class Turns Heads

The 2026 S-Class is not just about the powertrain. Mercedes-Benz has given the exterior a sharp refresh. The front gets a larger illuminated grille and a redesigned bonnet star that now lights up. The new LED headlamps feature star-shaped DRLs  a distinctive detail that sets this model apart immediately.

Inside: Technology at the Core

Inside, the 2026 S-Class gets an updated MBUX infotainment system with enhanced connectivity. Digital interfaces are sharper and more intuitive. Rear-seat passengers, meanwhile, benefit from upgraded entertainment options. The cabin continues to focus on chauffeur-driven comfort. Mercedes-Benz has also added several advanced features to keep the S-Class ahead of rivals like the BMW 7 Series and Audi A8 L in the luxury space.
