Honda has brought back its flagship litre-class superbike to the Indian market. Moreover, the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP now returns with a significantly higher price tag. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has officially relaunched the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP at Rs 33.50 lakh ex-showroom. Earlier, the motorcycle briefly entered India in 2025 before quietly disappearing from the company lineup.
Now, Honda has once again added the superbike to its premium BigWing portfolio alongside the updated Gold Wing, CB750 Hornet E-Clutch and XL750 Transalp E-Clutch.
Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP Remains Honda’s Ultimate Track Machine
The Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP continues as the company’s most hardcore road-legal supersport motorcycle. Honda developed the motorcycle using direct inputs from Honda Racing Corporation. The bike carries strong MotoGP influence across its design and engineering.
The motorcycle gets aggressive aerodynamic winglets, a sharp fairing and a race-focused riding position. Honda offers the bike only in the iconic Grand Prix Red colour scheme.
Powerful 999cc Inline-Four Engine Produces 214bhp
Powering the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is a 999cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine. The motor produces 214.5bhp at 14,000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 12,000rpm. Honda pairs the engine with a six-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quickshifter.
Honda also uses a lightweight Akrapovic titanium exhaust system with a 4-2-1 setup. The superbike delivers a sharper exhaust note and reduced overall weight. The engine revs extremely high and focuses heavily on track performance rather than everyday comfort.
Premium Electronics And Race-Derived Hardware
Honda has equipped the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP with an advanced electronics package.
The superbike features:
- Six-axis IMU
- Multiple riding modes
- Wheelie control
- Launch control
- Adjustable engine braking
- Cornering ABS
- Nine-level traction control
All rider information appears on a full-colour TFT display. Additionally, the motorcycle uses ride-by-wire throttle technology for precise throttle response.
Ohlins Suspension And Brembo Brakes Add Serious Capability
The Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP uses premium cycle parts for maximum track performance. Suspension duties come from electronically adjustable Ohlins Smart EC 3.0 components at both ends. Meanwhile, braking comes from twin 330mm front discs paired with Brembo Stylema calipers. At the rear, Honda uses a 220mm disc brake setup. Additionally, the motorcycle rides on sticky Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tyres mounted on 17-inch wheels.

Price Increased Sharply Compared To Earlier Launch
The biggest talking point remains the new pricing. Earlier, Honda launched the same motorcycle in India at Rs 28.99 lakh in 2025. However, the new 2026 relaunch now costs Rs 4.51 lakh more. Despite the price increase, Honda still positions the motorcycle against rivals like the BMW S 1000 RR and the Ducati Panigale V4 S.
Bookings Now Open Across India
Honda has started bookings for the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP through its premium BigWing and Topline dealerships. However, the motorcycle will remain a niche product because of its pricing and track-focused nature. Still, for serious superbike enthusiasts, the Fireblade SP continues to represent Honda’s pure racing DNA on public roads.
Honda Keeps The Fireblade Legacy Alive
The Fireblade badge has always carried legendary status among superbike fans. Now, Honda has once again brought that legacy back to India. The Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP may not target everyday riders. Yet, it remains one of the sharpest and most focused superbikes available today.
Its return shows that India’s premium superbike market continues growing steadily.
