BMW X6 M60i xDrive Returns to India, Pre-Launch Bookings Now Open
The BMW X6 is back. After a two-year absence from the Indian market, BMW India has officially opened pre-launch bookings for the all-new X6 M60i xDrive. The booking process is simple, walk into any BMW dealership or head to the official BMW India website.
The BMW X6 nameplate was quietly discontinued in India back in January 2023. Now, it is making a confident return. The new model will arrive as a CBU, or completely built unit, imported directly from overseas. No localisation this time around.

Coupe-SUV Styling That Turns Heads, X6 Design Explained
The BMW X6 M60i has always been a statement car. That DNA continues with this generation. Up front, a gloss-black kidney grille sits centre stage. Slim LED headlights carry distinctive snake-eye DRL signatures. Large air intakes complete the aggressive front fascia. On the sides, 21-inch alloy wheels fill the arches neatly. Red brake calipers peek through the spokes. Black-finished ORVMs and side skirts add contrast to the overall profile. At the rear, wraparound LED tail-lights and twin exhausts round off the look with authority.

BMW X6 M60i Dimensions, Big, Bold and Practical
The BMW X6 M60i is not a small car. It measures 4,960mm in length, 2,004mm in width, and stands 1,700mm tall. The wheelbase stretches to 2,975mm, offering a roomy cabin. Ground clearance sits at 216mm, decent for Indian road conditions. Boot space comes in at 580 litres, which is genuinely usable.
Dual Screens, Ventilated Seats and a Panoramic Roof, X6 Cabin Features
Inside, the BMW X6 M60i follows BMW’s current interior philosophy. A curved dual-screen layout dominates the dashboard. The setup includes a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment display and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The layered dashboard design feels premium without being overdone. The feature list is long and generous. Powered, heated and ventilated front seats are on offer. A memory function for the driver’s seat is included. Dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof and a powered tailgate round out the highlights. An ADAS suite adds a useful layer of driver assistance tech. The India-spec model is likely to carry similar equipment.
523hp Twin-Turbo V8 With Mild-Hybrid Tech, BMW X6 Engine and Performance

This is where the X6 M60i gets serious. Under the bonnet sits BMW’s ‘S68’ 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine. A 48V mild-hybrid system works alongside it. Combined system output stands at 523hp and 750Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic gearbox sends all that power to all four wheels via BMW’s xDrive AWD system. BMW claims a 0-100kph sprint time of 4.3 seconds. The electronically limited top speed is 250kph. The X6 M60i also gets rear-wheel steering and an electronically controlled rear differential. M Sport brakes with four-piston front calipers ensure confident stopping ability.
BMW X6 M60i Price in India and Key Rivals, What to Expect
An official price announcement is still awaited. However, the X6 M60i is expected to be priced at around Rs 1.40 crore, ex-showroom. At that price point, it will go up against the Audi SQ8, Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe and Porsche Cayenne Coupe. That is a tough neighbourhood, but the X6 has always been a car that plays by its own rules. An India launch date is expected in the coming months.
