Citroen Turns 108 And Gives Aircross Buyers a Gift
There is a certain charm about a brand that marks its anniversary by making its products better rather than simply louder about it. Citroen India has launched the Citroen Aircross Comfort Edition as part of the company’s 108th anniversary celebrations. The limited-run edition adds interior upgrades, customisation options and new technology features to an SUV that already punches above its weight in terms of ride comfort and cabin space. Prices start at Rs 9.09 lakh, ex-showroom a Rs 20,000 premium over the base trim. For buyers who have been eyeing the Aircross, this edition adds value without significantly changing the asking price.
What the Comfort Edition Actually Adds
The name is honest. The Citroen Aircross Comfort Edition focuses its upgrades squarely on the ownership experience rather than performance or technology. The most visible addition is beige leatherette upholstery fitted as standard across all variants. Citroen claims this is a segment-first feature at this price point. Adjustable front and rear headrests are now included across all trims a practical improvement for both driver and passengers on longer journeys. A black-grained finish on interior trims, soft-touch materials on select surfaces and silver accents on various interior elements round out the cabin changes. The effect is a noticeably more premium feeling cabin than the standard Aircross without any fundamental change to the vehicle’s character.

The Comfort Edition is available across three variants at the following ex-showroom prices:
Aircross You MT: Rs 9.09 lakh
Aircross Plus MT: Rs 9.99 lakh
Aircross Plus Turbo MT 7-seater: Rs 11.99 lakh
The Plus trim gets the Comfort Edition upgrades at no additional cost over the standard Plus pricing making it the most compelling value proposition in the range for buyers who want the comfort additions without paying a premium.
The Accessory Packs Three Levels of Personalisation
Alongside the Comfort Edition, Citroen has introduced three optional accessory packs available with every variant of the Aircross. Each addresses a different buyer priority.
You Pack: Rs 36,600
Adds soft-touch interior trim materials, fog lamps, a 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a reverse camera with guidelines, door cladding with chrome inserts, wheel covers and additional cosmetic enhancements. This pack effectively brings the entry-level You trim closer to the feature set of the higher variants.
Plus Pack: Rs 8,460
Adds a reverse camera with guidelines, a wireless charger and door cladding with chrome inserts. A focused, low-cost upgrade for buyers who want the key convenience additions without a large outlay.
Max Pack: Rs 40,000
The most premium of the three featuring a JBL audio system with amplifier and front and rear dashcams with audio alerts. The dashcam system also includes predictive safety alerts covering front collision warnings, lane-change alerts, pedestrian collision warnings, vehicle distance monitoring and vehicle-ahead movement notifications. For buyers who want both audio quality and active safety layers, this pack makes a strong case.
What Features Already Come with the Aircross
The Comfort Edition upgrades sit on top of an already capable feature base. Depending on the variant chosen, the Aircross already offers “LED projector headlights, alloy wheels, a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, wireless smartphone connectivity, steering-mounted audio controls, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, an auto-dimming interior rearview mirror and a wireless charger”. The Comfort Edition’s leatherette upholstery and headrest adjustability complement this existing package adding tactile quality to what is already a reasonably well-specified cabin for the price.
Engine Options Straightforward and Familiar
No changes have been made to the powertrain lineup. The “base You trim” is offered solely with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 82hp paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The “Plus trim” offers this same combination or the more capable 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 110hp with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The “top-spec Max trim” offers the 110hp turbo unit with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque-converter automatic. For buyers choosing the Comfort Edition, all these powertrain options remain available depending on the variant selected.
Who Is This Up Against?
The Citroen Aircross Comfort Edition competes in the midsize SUV segment the most hotly contested space in the Indian car market. Rivals include the “Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Renault Duster, Kia Seltos and Honda Elevate”.
