Revolt Has a New Card to Play
The electric two-wheeler space in India is moving quickly. New models arrive with striking regularity. But not all of them bring something genuinely different to the table. The Revolt RVX is attempting to do exactly that. The Revolt RVX Launched at an introductory price of Rs 1.30 lakh, ex-showroom, inclusive of PM E-DRIVE incentives, the RVX is Revolt’s new performance-focused electric motorcycle aimed specifically at younger riders who want more than just commuting capability. A new mid-drive motor, a removable battery, a claimed 160km IDC range and a feature list that includes hill-hold assist, reverse mode and OTA updates. For Rs 1.30 lakh, that is a compelling opening argument.
Where the RVX Sits in the Revolt Lineup

Understanding the RVX requires knowing where it lands within Revolt’s own range. The brand’s entry-level products are the RV1 and RV1+. Above those sits the RV BlazeX at Rs 1.20 lakh. The RVX at Rs 1.30 lakh matches the RV400 BRZ on price and slots below the flagship RV400 at Rs 1.40 lakh. The RVX is therefore the middle ground of Revolt’s performance range, positioned as a product with more sporting intent than the BlazeX but more accessible than the top-spec RV400.
In the wider market, the RVX goes up against the recently launched Oben Rorr EVO, which starts at Rs 1.25 lakh. The two are effectively at the same price point, which means the feature and performance comparison between them will be a significant factor in which way buyers lean.
The Motor and What Makes It Different
The engineering choice that defines the RVX is the mid-drive motor setup. Most electric two-wheelers in India use hub-mounted motors. The RVX uses a permanent magnet synchronous motor positioned in the middle of the chassis, which is more typically associated with performance-oriented or premium electric motorcycles. The motor is rated at 4kW continuous output, with a peak of 5.3kW. Revolt claims the setup delivers up to 230Nm of torque at the rear wheel. The 0-40kmph sprint takes 3.9 seconds. Top speed in Boost mode is claimed at 90kmph. Four riding modes are available, Boost, Sport, City and Eco, giving riders control over performance and range depending on the situation.
Revolt RVX Launched: Battery and Range

The 3.24kWh battery on the RVX uses NMC cell chemistry, which typically offers better energy density and performance characteristics than the LFP cells found in many entry-level electric vehicles. More practically for everyday buyers, the battery is removable. This means it can be taken inside an apartment or office for charging without needing a dedicated charging point in the parking area, one of the most common concerns for electric two-wheeler buyers in urban India.
A claimed IDC-certified range of 160km on a single charge is the headline figure. Real-world range will depend on riding mode, rider weight and road conditions, but 160km IDC is a strong claim at this price point. Using a fast charger, the battery goes from 0 to 80 percent in 80 minutes.
Features That Punch Above the Price
The feature list on the RVX is one of the most pleasant surprises of this launch. A 3.5-inch IP67-rated PMVA display handles instrument duties, with Bluetooth connectivity, telematics and over-the-air software update capability built in. The IP67 rating means the display is protected against dust and water ingress, an important consideration given how Indian roads can behave during monsoon season.
Hill-hold assist is included, a feature that prevents the motorcycle from rolling back on inclines when the rider is preparing to move off. Reverse mode allows the rider to manoeuvre the motorcycle backward electrically at low speeds, genuinely useful in tight parking situations. Walk assist does the same but at a slow walking pace for guiding the motorcycle on foot. A vehicle locator, immobiliser and geofencing round out the safety and security package. Call and message notifications from a paired smartphone are displayed on the instrument cluster.
Hardware, Colours and Availability

The suspension setup uses a USD front fork paired with a rear monoshock, a hardware specification more commonly associated with motorcycles positioned above this price point. Three colour options are available: Pearl Black, Electric Blue and Eclipse Red. The RVX will be sold through Revolt’s network of over 200 dealerships spread across India, which provides reasonable access for buyers in most major cities and several smaller markets.
A Note on the Introductory Pricing
The Rs 1.30 lakh price has been officially described by Revolt as an introductory price, with the expectation that it will increase in the future. Buyers who are considering the RVX would be well served to act before that revision comes. The introductory price, inclusive of PM E-DRIVE incentives, puts the RVX in a competitive position against both its Revolt stablemates and the broader performance electric motorcycle segment. Once the price moves up, the value proposition will need to be reassessed.
Revolt RVX Launched: What it Brings to the Table
At Rs 1.30 lakh, the Revolt RVX makes a case for itself across several dimensions simultaneously. The mid-drive motor is a differentiator. The removable battery addresses a real-world ownership concern. The feature list is genuinely impressive for the segment. And the four-mode riding system gives the rider control over how the motorcycle behaves on any given day.
Whether the introductory pricing holds long enough for a significant volume of buyers to take advantage of it remains to be seen. But as a product, the RVX arrives with a clear identity and a credible argument.
